Érsek is trying to start as many tenders as possible in the elections

The Ministry of Transport and Construction (MDV) of the Slovak Republic is working fully until the parliamentary elections, which will take place in February 2020. This was stated for TASR by the Minister of Transport Árpád Érsek (Most-Híd) in connection with the remaining term of his term.

He wants calls for tenders for new motorways closed as soon as possible so that the new government can continue construction on on the expressway R2, R3 or at the intersection D1 / D4.

At the same time, the transport sector continues to intensively prepare the remaining ones sections of the D3 motorway in the direction of Poland. Érsek believes that he will succeed to complete the ongoing carrier selection competitions to operate public rail transport to make people feel better quality of services, or to process the selection of a concessionaire for Bratislava airport.

They want to keep up the pace

The Minister also noted that the Ministry of Transport is doing everything to maintained a high pace of construction, especially on the D1 motorway between Bratislava and Bratislava Košice and D3. “This year we have concluded a memorandum on the financing of motorway projects and expressways and includes all sections of the D3 motorway, which are in preparation and are expected to be co-financed in the future operational program, in which we also try to get what the largest envelope for road infrastructure, “said Érsek.

At the same time, he assessed that it was an extremely important decision this year solution of the situation on the section with the Višňové tunnel, where it was secured payment of all subcontractors and where it has agreed to leave the consortium, which did not manage the construction.
