With Volker Ludwig at the helm, the Frankfurt energy supplier Mainova wanted to set up its own data center division. But now the data center expert has already left the company after a few months.
Nafter only five months, Mainova parted ways with Volker Ludwig again. The Frankfurt energy supplier had poached the data center specialist from the colocation provider E-Shelter (NTT Global Data) in order to set up its own data center division with him as managing director. The beginning of the cooperation at the beginning of the year was celebrated with great speech, although the plans of the newly founded Mainova Webhouse Management GmbH were still very vague.
Both sides are silent about the reasons for the quick end of Ludwig’s managerial career, which was announced on Wednesday. Separate “by mutual agreement” is the only utterance that a Mainova spokesman and Ludwig are ready to make. The Mainova is sticking to its plans for the construction of a data center, assured its spokesman. The selection of suitable locations is at an “advanced stage”. On the occasion of the founding of the Webhouse subsidiary, Ludwig and Mainova had designed themselves as an advantage that the energy supplier already had its own property with a good power supply in Frankfurt.
