One system has to collect money for motorways, both from companies and citizens

From 2023, there should be a unified system of tolls on motorways, which will include today’s tolls and motorway tolls.

As NDS informs on its portal, a new charging system for trucks, combinations of vehicles and buses over 3.5 tonnes (for selection tolls) and for vehicles and combinations of vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes (for motorway tolls) should be operational from 2023.

NDS will ask suppliers

In particular, the NDS needs to obtain the expert opinion of suppliers on the structure, properties and scope of the solution for charging for the use of defined road sections as a basis for setting requirements for the subject of the relevant contract public procurement, resp. procurement.

“The purpose of the preparatory market consultations is transparent, comprehensive and to prepare requirements for the highest possible technical detail this new unified system, which will provide comprehensive functionality, which is today divided between several systems.
