The toll collection in 2019 reached almost 221 million euros

The electronic toll collection for the National Motorway Company, as (NDS) in 2019 reached 220.97 mil. EUR, was higher by 3.5% year-on-year, resp. by 7.52 mil. eur. Revenues from tolls in December last year amounted to 14.82 mil. EUR, compared to the same month a year earlier they increased by 4.7%, or by 660 thous. eur.

Since the operation of a comprehensive electronic toll collection service in In 2010, total toll revenues reached 1.810 billion eur. As tolls informed SkyToll, as, there was a discount on the toll price for the whole of 2019 granted in 65,236 cases, of which 49,026 from Slovakia. The discount was in the volume of 3.86 mil. EUR, of which for vehicles registered in Slovakia 3.3 mil. eur (85.5%).

Toll collection for the use of defined sections of motorways and expressways roads in 2019 amounted to 150.23 mil. EUR (year-on-year more by 3.7%, resp. by 5.41 mil. EUR) and on I. class roads 70.67 mil. eur, growth by 3.1%, resp. by 2.12 mil. eur. “Of the total December amount selected tolls were paid by 47% of vehicle operators from abroad. Operators of vehicles registered abroad paid 46.4% from the toll collected for the whole year 2019. The most frequently asked questions were fees and prices (22.2 thousand calls), followed by requests for provision general information on the electronic toll system (17 thousand calls) and requests for information regarding the return of on-board units (6.6 thousand calls).
